Rob,

If you have reversing sensor, then you need to remove the trim on the top of the bumper to reveal the screws that hold the foam in place, that in turn holds the wiring in place.

The sensors clip out of their housings, there are three clips each. The housings can then by unclipped from the bumper.

It is very important that you mark them so they can go back in in the same order.

Looking good Jamo.

You'll soon have one longrange tourer. Love to know how the Aux tank works when you get it all fitted.

I see you've got the road tyres back on.

Hello Chris!

I swapped back the tyres for fuel and handling reasons and won't put the STT's back on until I'm ready to head off road. I found the STT's better in the gravel (particularly when it's wet) but I've had to drive to Perth a few times lately, and I've been to Hopetoun(200km gravel and 200km bitumen round trip) and Norseman (400km bitumen round trip) every week for the past month or so, so it made more sense.

I've got a trolley jack and am down to 20mins for a full change!

From what I understand, there's a pump that you switch on to transfer fuel from the aux tank to the main tank, but as soon as I have the info, i'll post it (along with the confiming pics!)
 Have a nice day!

20 mins for a wheel change is pretty damned fast.

I still take about 45mins - 60mins including the swapping the spare. My electric impact wrench crapped itself and now I have to manually remove each wheel. Got to get a replacement impact wrench from RACV one day.

I've got a compressor in my garage and use an air wrench to remove the nuts, but put them back on by hand.

The trolley jack makes a lot of difference too.

Thanks for info. on rear bumper.
Today picked up my new STTs and rims, look just the bees knees!
I decided not to put them on yet, and use them for off road trips. as the orignals are still good for the bitumun, they only have 21000 km on them, although they look more than half worn.

Cheers
Rob

Rear carrier looks good, I am geting interested in one, I have prices of tire carrier but cant find price for 110 lit fuel tank.
As I would fit myself could the setup be got direct from Kamar?
Am I correct in thinking the tank comes from Kamar?

I got the bar direct from Kaymar. Just email them
sales@kaymar.com.au. I fitted it myself.

The tank is $1,410 fitted in WA. I'm having it fitted by Off Road Equipment, bu it's made by Long Range Automotive

Looking great Jamo. It certainly has the long range touring look now.

Are you happy with the overall fitting and finish?

I can see a bit of a gap between the tail light and rear bar. Is it that large?

Thanks

Chris

Yes Chris, it's about 15mm. A little disappointing, but I think it's to allow for some flex. You don't really notice it unless your looking for it.

Generally, I'm really happy with the way it's been engineered and finished.

The system works great, but I have a problem with the rear PDC (see post in Technical).

jamo,

I have had recently fitted the kaymar bar with dual wheel carrier, and long range fuel tank.

with both tanks filled the rear wheels with the independant rear suspension sit out a bit, ie toe out.

Did you after installation, have to alter the wheel alingnment to compensate?

What vehicle do you have? Jamo and I have HSE and SE respectively, I haven't fitted a 2nd Wheel to my rear wheel carrier yet, but I cannot notice any different with the tyres or height.
