Update
So managed to do a little bit more
Suspension error was a blown fuse in engine bay F3 , 5 x amp for ECU , suspension now fully working
As it hasn’t been used for 6 x months I took it for a drive round my local area , keeping the speed under 50mph as I thought then it would be less stress on the engine instead of just taking it down the motorway @70Mph
Got back most of the interior sill panels
2 x new bonnet struts , found using the small picks and rounded pliers ideal getting the old ones off
Re fitted both battery covers
Replaced as much of the engine bays electrical conduit
Engine cover insulation
Had the Autel handy so just plugged that in, found the bank 0 data and could see the figures were fluctuating a few % , but after the test drive and engine up to temperature it smoothed out
Don’t know if it was just me but the power came a lot smoother and quicker , at tick over the Rev counter now stays completely still with no fluctuating
I’m wondering because I’ve taken a lot of time ensuring all air inlet and intercooler leaks have now all gone if that’s contributed by the engine responsiveness being better
Don’t mind admitting am over the moon with the results , hope I never have to revisit the hoses/ pipes around the turbo area
Got a few things left to do
Passenger side plastic wheel arch trim
Small panels by the FBH exhaust
Door window glass trims
Get some fuel injector cleaner to run through the fuel tank
Also the drivers side master window switch is playing up again, unable to lower the front passenger window but works on its own controls
That’s was a challenge and a half trying to find the part number as see some are pre and post 2007 , 16 or 17 pin
So all in all I think some good progress so I’m getting there
Finally, I can’t even begin to say how grateful I am for the extremely kind help , million thanks from the bottom of my heart as I know I wouldn’t have been any where near , will update as I progress with the other bits
Know the rear outer sensor is faulty , got a new loom , other 2 x error codes have gone after resolving suspension issue
Few screen shots and data to go with this thread, plus I really hope this helps others
Thks again , plus am really pleased after all the work

Well that was fun trying to find the correct part number for the master window switch , drivers door
Hope it helps anyone in the future , RHD
Pre 2006 , to Vin number 6A999999 is YUD501120PVJ
2007 onwards Vin 7A000001 YUD501560PVJ

Another update , So finally managed to give it a good run , alas soon as I hit 50mph it went into limp mode
Turned engine off / on , ok coming home under 50mph
Pulled onto drive and noticed the engine was hunting , went to have a look at the turbo actuator arm, noticed it was very slightly moving
I did free it off months ago, must have been around jan/ feb so I’m thinking if it’s sticking again , I’ll also buy some Wynn’s VVT cleaner to put in the tank , will need to find something better to spray the actuator as been using GT85
Looks like I’ll need to get the actuator wire out again and give it another spray , plus at the end of the day if It ever did need a new turbo I think it could write the D3 off as I expect that would be a £2,500 job
However what else could I buy for £2,500 , lol, will see what happens after I free off the actuator again , but I’m not down and out just yet and refuse to let it beat me
As always many thks for putting up with me waffling

Did you get live values like I did ?
75% before engine started I think.
The turbos soot up on the inside (caused by not being driven and just idling)
And that can cause the arm to be stiff.
I used Wynn’s vvt cleaner purple bottle added to the fuel tank when you are ready to use the car for a few days

Apologises for the delay , been working through this
My MOT runs out 14/9/22 , is on the drive so at least I won’t get into trouble
Rear lower wishbones were an advisory last mot and got a few quotes , there coming out around £1200 , which included both tie rods, 4 x wheel alignment , Mot
So I managed to move the turbo actuator arm and applied some red grease, have resolved every air leak within the intercooler system etc , put 125ml of the VGT cleaner
Took it for a test drive , was very impressed up to 50 Mph as it’s never pulled like that before , soon as 50mph hit vibration returned but this time it felt different , plus limp mode activated
Engine off and badk in again which cleared the limp mode , Gave it around a 30 x min run keeping it under 50 x mph
Came back home, plugged the iid in, no fault codes
Wanted to check the live data of the turbo actuator anti jam test , ranges from 8 to 97% , with the engine running on tickover it was at 60%
As I was sitting in the drivers seat I could hear the brakes cooling down ,, checked temperatures of the disks m callipers, drums and was very surprised , near side callipers are jammed up
So looks like I need to get all my brakes serviced , hopefully it’s just the sliding pins and not the calliper pistons
Here’s the data I wrote down along with live data screenshots , picture of the actuator arm after I greased it
Front offside / Disc - 29.4 c / calliper 26.9 c
Front nearside / Disc - 50.2 c / calliper 41.5 c
Rear offside / Disc 24.3 c / calliper 24.9 c / Drum 22.5 c
Rear nearside / Disc 49.3 c / calliper 45.4 c / Drum 38.5 c
Vibration starts around 45 Mph
Engine data
Engine off - Turbo actuator self test % range - 8 to 97%
will have a chat with the garage to see what it will cost to get the brakes overhauled
Then got to see about the rear lower wishbones , tie bars and Mot as currently can’t drive it
Hope everyone is keeping well

Arh sorry to hear that. I’ll try and have a full read later.
Maybe try and get an mot without doing the rear arms. They shouldn’t have changed much in that time

Bless u as always pete
Indeed am going to try but alas my now main concern are the brakes
Determined to not let it beat me that’s for sure , suppose just got to take it step by step , at the end of the day really hope this helps others
Thks again

Gary, great to hear from you mate and glad to see you've taken the old girl out again, will drop you an email as I may have the solution to your brake issue I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!

Well I am confused what causes the vibration. lack of fueling ?
I guess you need to record live data while driving upto 50mph
or maybe you did that one page 1
That graph hints at a fuel temperature sensor problem in the key ?

Hi mate
Bless u as always and think because I’ve not used it on a regular basis it’s caused the brakes to basically seize them selves up abit so all need coming apart
If I was able to I would get all new callipers, discs and pads
Thks again

Hiya
Many thks as always , Alas can’t take it out on the road anymore due to the mot expiring
Apologises as I should have added a note , the first few live data is sitting on the drive, turning the ign on and off to watch that the turbo actuator arm now has full travel from the 8 to 97%
With the engine off and actuator at rest it seems to stop at 60%
For some reason in the back of my mind I keep thinking about the fuel filter , as after a few months getting that changed I had issues , wondering when I get a new mot to buy another one and get it changed , I expect I’m barking up the wrong tree
Come dec this fault will be a year old , feel confident there’s no longer any intercooler leaks, as after done a full smoke test , plus stopped the air leaks at the throttle body egr pipes
Wonder if the next plan of action will be new Mot , fuel filter and brake callipers sliding pins removed , cleaned and greased then go from there, as at least then I’ll be able to start new road tests for some more live data readings
Suppose the year hasn’t been a total waste by resolving a lot of issues , of course wouldn’t have got anywhere near without the invaluable help and can’t even begin to say how grateful I am
Plus wonder if it’s worth borrowing a more extensive fault reader , like some of the garages use
Thks again and will of course do another update once I get a new mot etc
