Webasto working when hot

Hi All,
2016 D4 landmark

The FBH works well in the winter on timed climate control. Had it checked over by 2 Land Rover independent garages as it smells slightly and it was given a clean bill of health!
But now we’re into the hot weather and the air con is being called on does anyone know why the FBH goes into overdrive to get the cab cold? Billows of smelly smoke coming from the FBH too

I know if somewhere is to get cold somewhere else needs to get hot but I thought this was done by compressing coolant gases!

Thanks in anticipation for your sagely advice
Mark

The FBH does not cool anything, if you have a LR FBH remote it is easy to accidentally operate it but this only blows cold air in hot weather, hot in winter.
The air con cools the interior when activated but does not produce smoke.
 It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

I haven’t got a remote for mine

Does anyone know what’s wrong and how to rectify?

what time of the day and temp does FBH come on with those billows of smoke?

as mentioned before FBH has nada to do with aircon

have you got it set for daily operation via infotainment screen by any chance? and never removed settings while into summer?
