Renewal due on 14th, RAC have advised they are unable to renew as I no longer fit there criteria 'cause lifes too short to do things by halves

Well it's that time of year again, insurance due mid January.
I was with A plan until last year when I changed to Churchill, much cheaper for the same cover than A Plan then.
This year Churchill have gone from £378.60 to £504.85 !!
So on the 'phone and thought I'd give A Plan another chance, as I was with them for some time before last year, No they came up with £600+
So it looks as if Churchill may get my new business after all.
I have a non modded 2015 D4 SE Tech, do just under 12000 miles a year and, although I do not do Mud Plugging do use it to get to where I want to go when hunting/shooting. No points or convictions but am in my seventies

Tried them again when I bought my D5 in April last year, couldn't get anywhere near LV, tried again this April still nowhere near LV.

Just wanted to check, are you contacting the Thatcham branch? As local branches don't have the facilities in place for the specialist 4x4 schemes or the club discount offers - often people call their local branch for the specialist vehicles and just get standard quotes which aren't always competitive in the specialist market.

Yes Carlie, I did contact the Thatcham branch but still got a better deal with LV.
I will try them again next year as I always shop around just in case.
