Interesting! I'll need to check! I certainly had to go down a size of socket, so perhaps they are 21mm instead of 22mm.Previously:

Depends how often you take your wheels off. Here I do it twice a year, swapping summer to winter then winter to summer tyres.
The Wrington ones are worth it, especially if you let tyre shops do the job who just tend to mash the
wheelnuts with their power tools to start with.
I've only had the car 2 years and am already on the 2nd set of standard nuts. Going to get some from Wrington soon.

So they are stainless steel wheel nuts made from heat treated carbon alloy steel.
I can't understand why people use ebay and amazon. They are just full off 'chinese copy tat' resellers.[/img]

Could be 21mm as I believe that is the size of the original nuts if you strip the covers off.

You are quite correct! The unswollen OEM nuts are indeed 22mm, as are my dubious replacements. I had been using a 23mm socket to remove the originals as the 22mm wouldn't fit - and even at that, a couple needed the 23mm socket knocked on with a mallet!
What further confused me is that the wheel spanner in the Land Rover badged tool-set that came with the (third-hand) car turns out to be something like 29mm or 30mm!Previously:
