The headlight flash start isn't important to me, I use a text message from my phone which is the whole point of it. The antenna is at the top of the panel and works perfectly and I also have the tracking option activated, so the ignition sensing works. I have also fitted a small hidden push button switch, so the FBH can be fired up directly if needed.
The reason that I did it this way, was to make the FBHIC3 look as 'factory fitted' as possible. I fitted a 3 wire plug onto the end of the Green, Red and Black/White wires from the FBHIC3 and then simply plugged that into the connector that was already fitted in behind the panel. I don't need/want a lot of the other features of the FBHIC, also doing it this way means you don't go cutting into wires etc

Hi everybody,
I'm a happy user of FBHIC3 for almost a year now (thanks Robbie for a great guide!), it served me well all the winter long. And now, as its a bit warmer outside, I would like it to remotely switch the vents on, and it doesn't. When I schedule timed venting directly in tha car it works fine, but there is no text command to do it remotely via FBHIC3.
And if I send the ON command, it tries to fire up FBH (3 attempts) and then stops, as the temperatures are too high.
Has anyone successfully used FBHIC3 to switch on the vents only?
