So which wheels can I fit?
Hi
I am watching some wheels and tyres but have read that some of the rrs wheels will not fit or are not suitable for the discovery 3. I understand the bit about the rating due to the weight of the car but not sure about whether the wheels will go on. Any advice is appreciated. Mine is a 06 SE TDV6.
Any of the RRS rims should fit but the standard RRS tyres are undersized and have too low a load rating for the D3The End

Is there that much difference in weight between the D3 & RRS ??
I would have thought they weighed in around the same

D3 GVW = 3230kg
RRS GVW = 3070kg (TDV8 and S/C slightly heavier by max of 100kg)

Thanks for all the info. I was actually looking to replace my tyres but buying the wheels and tyres looked cheaper. Pity it wont work out. Tyres it will have to be then.

Plenty of D3 wheels and tyres about "fastblatt" try e-mailing some of those dealers advertising on E-bay.
The 2006 on FFRR also fit and have the correct load index.
My last set came off E-bay and I'll be looking for another set 5k or so before they're due for changing. Cheaper than tyres. Think I'll go for 19" FFRR next time for a change

Thanks. Most of the wheel tyre combinations the have come up recently have been collect only and 150 miles away. I found a company that supply and deliver for £85 for pirelli scorpion zeros to my door. The local tyre co will fit and ballence for £15 per wheel. I have decided to take that route because the only wheels that I like better that my SE ones are HSE ones and that restricts my choice even more. unfortunatly I can't wait for some to come up with new tyres near me (west london) as the rears are on the limit if not past it.

I'd avoid the Pirelli's, if I don't get wheels next time think I'll try the Michelin Latitude. Pirellis wear too fast for my liking.
