at 72 years we are in lock down...no need to go out in foreseeable future..although we can go for a drive I guess with a flask...which we do often in d4
we have many vunerable friends but will let their families look out for them..its difficult.
71 here. Just booked a 10 holiday to Tenerife. Looks a bit safer there. ( warmer and drier too )

What is happening here? Some form of reversed agism?
In 15 months time I enter my 8th decade, not in lock down, not panic buying, life continues as per normal

Totally looking forward to walking in to the field next door and shooting a cow in the face. You can keep your rabbits and freeze-dried toilet paper, it's steak all the way for me baby.

We're wondering what the next twelve months will be like, wife has asthma and low immune system from cancer and chemotherapy, so it wouldn't be great at all if she caught it. Considering isolating for months if need be.
Beginning to think that having chemo last week to turn my immune system off was bad timing..

Mustn’t think that Dean. Sooner you start chemo the better. My second treatment was delayed for several weeks and there was disease progression. Compromised immunity means being extra careful about infections. As a retired microbiologist now 83 I have an ingrained routine of hygienic behaviour. Second nature from working for years with highly pathogenic micro-organisms in the early days before modern containment systems. Good luck with the treatment. 2014 MY Discovery XS Indus Silver. What SWMBO and are doing is taking the hygiene measures we have taken for years. Not panicking and avoiding crowds if possible and keeping following guidelines. Attending a cancer hospital also shows how the staff deal with measures to prevent infection as they deal with this on a regular basis even before an outbreak of COVID 19. The problem as I see it is that most people, despite WHO and government publicity don’t observe the guidelines. It won’t happen to them seems to be the thought. Just look at people and see how often they touch their faces. I hope you and your family keep safe.2014 MY Discovery XS Indus Silver. Sadly gone. It's not the C-word, I have an autoimmune disease. Been doing this "hobby" of mine for over 12 years now ... been arguing to get this particular flavour of potion for 3 years, since a new consultant (since left ) decided to have a "rethink" and the delay dropped me off the "automatically have another dose" list.
The only real problem with the timing is that the medics are wary of committing to the normal n doses over x weeks as they may have to shut wards due to covid-19.
