it certainly used to be the case that the tanker driver added the additives at the forecourt so could be quite hit/miss regarding accuracy of dosing ... suspect they've moved on from that.
used Costco for first time last week. saved under £3 compared to the ASDA next door (admittedly that's probably best public one around these parts), but couldn't stick it on credit card so doesn't go towards rewards we get on that. I noticed they have branded their fuel as "Kirkland Signature", which is what they brand all their own label stuff as ... absolutely no way they have their own wells/ships/tankers..

Dean I use Costco in Oldham and besides saving a fortune filling up my car , truck and van they all run a lot better on The fuel from Costco,
and if I fill up at Tesco I can certainly tell the difference by engine noise alone !
The Costco fuel is the equivalent of Shell Ultra I'm told except that Costco add there own additives during the tanker fill up as I was told by the forecourt dude.
I asked him what it was they put in but he wouldn't tell me funnily enough !

Adam,
Yes there is one near The Trafford centre, its on Barton Dock Rd.
I have only used Shell V Power fuel in my vehicle for the past few years and it runs just as well on the Costco fuel- it is branded as premium diesel. Tried the 2 stroke ages ago and could not tell any difference.

Not surprising Icestation all my research suggests it does little to nothing and in fact some studies suggest that the zinc found in most 2 stroke oil can clog injectors over time, personly I am going to stick with it in strimmer etc and keep it well away from any of our diesels.==================================

& I can't see inside the engine & other guys opinions don't count.
I buy diesel wherever there is a pump within reason - Asda, Sainsbury, Tesco.
I use some millers treatment maybe every 1500 miles.
I have tried 2SO over several tank fills & there for me is little or no better mpg (average 26 - 26)
The engine does sound quieter.
The 2SO came cheap & I'll do it may on odd occasions.
Above all to discover a slightly quieter engine I'm not going to compromise what could cost a fortune to fix......as said opinions (including mine) aren't effective if I block injectors.
The safe "no risk" bet is not to use it.
If it were a good thing, beneficial, short term / long term, it would be a manufacturers listed additive.

If you are going to chuck any old diesel in it then OK you may have to use Millers to clean it out. Why not put better quality fuel in all the time?
My experience is by using Shell V Power all the time the car drives better-I have had to use generic fuel a couple of times and it is immediately noticeable. By using Costco premium there is no difference in performance and it costs a lot less-winner!

manufacturers also tell you not to remove the CAT or DPF, and we all know what a load of that is.. --

But they are to do with emissions and there is no doubt your emissions will be higher without them so that's a nonsense comparison.==================================

yes ... as per above we now have one at TC Costco. fairly new. completely unmanned.
if you've not used it before the "scan your membership card" part of the process is less than intuitive ... saw several folks shove it in the payment card slot whilst I was there.
trick, as it worked for me, is to hold card way way below the scanner so the green light it shines covers more than your barcode..
