The Maplins guy tried to be helpful when I bought the relays, he wrote down the switching COM/NO/NC, it was actually NC/COM/NO. Some scratching of head when it didn't work then worked out what happened when I looked on the manufacturers website at the data sheet...lesson of the day check the data sheet!
