Most of Land Rovers own official accessories for the D3 can be fitted with the aid of their own PDF "How To" documents available for download at Land Rover Owner Information
If the Land Rover Owner Information site is not working (this is quite frequent!) then a mirror of the Accessory fitting instructions is at Owner Information Mirror.
Unfortunately the pictorial based PDF's can be a little confusing at times. Until detailed "How To" guides are posted here, some D3 enthusiasts have come up with their own easier to follow versions in the sites Maintenance & Modifications section
