Mudflaps on a D3

normal_DSCN1145.JPG

The factory fit Discovery 3 rear mud flaps have a couple of major flaws, firstly they are not very big, and secondly they are not very flexible.

One alternative is Series 3 mud flaps. These are nice and bendy and some £60 cheaper. mine came from Craddock's and cost only £14, but many others are available.

You will need to cut out a section to clear the exhaust on both sides. I wanted to used at least one of the std trim/mud flap fittings.(the one with the black washer) Here I made a spacer out of spare material, this allows the mudflap to stand out from the indent of the o/e fitting. Also used as can be seen are 2 M6 bolts/nuts and a self tapper in the wheel trim.
