Can you get gap insurance for a Deafner, I thought with its panel gaps it would be a pre existing condition!!

I used to underwrite GAP insurance the best deals are on line, dealers make circa £250 per policy in commission! Plus a share of underwriting profit.
This why they are so keen to sell you policy.

Gap insurance must present a difficult decision for some, especially those borrowing money to finance their cars. Depreciation rates for Discos are in my experience surprisingly low, reducing the need for such insurance, since if the worst should happen it should be possible to persuade the insurance company to cough the market value of the vahicle. If, as in my case, the vehicle is paid for, I perceive the risk small and would not want to spend unnecessary monies with the insurance company, just buy the thing carefully.
