New World Record miles on one tank! (Well for me anyway)
So after owning my lovely D3 since October, I finally managed to see one of these after a full tank's worth of driving

MPG according to D3 was show as:

That's impressive.
Only managed 300 miles on my last tank full. All short journeys & egr valves playing up a bit.
Presuming you put 80 litres in the on board computer is a bit optimistic but think they all are.

My old manual D3 used to give me some excellent (indicated) mpg if driven carefully.....once went on a 400 mile round trip in convoy with my mate in his auto.....I got an indicated 34.1mpg......he couldn't get above 30.......
Not scientific, but was interesting to see the difference "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...

Wasn't that due to your superior driving ability though?

I wish!
All stop start for me mostly so never really see more than 300 out of a full tank unfortunately though if I start doing any significant motorway miles it increases accordingly but few and far between.

The 'Dad's Taxi' runs usually kill my mpg - So I try and make them all walk now
Also I'm amazed by how relaxed I am driving the D3, my last car was always at around 80+ MPH on the M-ways, but I'm more than happy to pootle along at a steady 60 with the Disco
When I looked at the range it stated 573 miles But really can't see me achieving that though, although did achieve 37mpg for the 70 mile journey home after filling up, but average now dropped to 31mpg (According to the trip.....that can't really be trusted, but gives a guide)Iggy/Ieuan

I used to get over 500miles regularly (Would often start at 600+ to go) when it didn't have all the stuff it has on now - side steps, sump plates (x3), remap, and Scorpions. I suspect I drove slightly slower too, having come from a 110SW where more than 60 was painful I don't drive much quicker now, but 10mph is significant in a brick Mark.

My best with road tyres is 511 miles.
My best with off road tyres is 476 miles.
I usually get 430-450 to a tank. Off roading and my work commute kills the average which is sitting at 23.10mpg over 18k...
Thank god for fuel expenses! In loving memory of FA54WSK.
Rest well old friend, your work is done.

Shhhh all the manual haters will be out lets keep secret
I once took a steady drive around 200 miles each way got an indicated over 40mpg by the time I got back had used less than half a tank for those 400 miles
Swmbo had it next day soon got it down to low 30s it did just shy of 600 miles on that tankClub original turbo

Yes I hate hearing the words "I'm taking your car"
.....sends shivers down my spine even thinking about it
Alway's ruins my MPG, I don't know what she does, but I could be at 32mpg and covered 300 or so miles, she then does about 10 miles and I'm down into the 20's!!!!! (perhaps a slight exaggeration there )
