| Extend range of BAS remote FBH controller? |

Hi All,
Our remote FBH has been a god-send since I fitted late on in 2014 however the range of the remote control is rubbish. We pretty much have to be within about 5-6m of the car for it to work. This is ok when it is parked on our drive as it's close to the front door but not much use out and about.
Is there a way to improve and extend the range of the built in aerial? There is a new battery in the remote so don't think it is that.
Long term, I'll likely upgrade to the LR key third button control but don't want to do that during winter, when SWMBO will moan at getting into a cold car  Cheers,

I extended the antenna by soldering a length of cable to the existing wire and running it up inside the A pillar.
I've not run any scientific tests but I can now fire it up from places I couldn't before - which was the goal.
It's worth a go and costs you nothing but a piece of wire. I see no ships........
