Defo sounds like you've fixed it which was quick
Think I was lucky as my light came on in Warrington and I managed to get back to Glasgow, with intermittent battery Light for most of the journey, in the dark and pouring rain all the way Squeaky bum more than a few times, especially when the low temperature, "bong", sounded
Hope you get sorted soon

Was hoping to get to work tomorrow in the daylight, but not sure it will make it now.
I will attempt to repair the old one, but only while there is a new shiny alternator on the car. That way I'll have a spare in stock.Richard
