Need to replace steering rack...where to buy from?
Hi all...anybody purchased a new steering rack for their D3. I need to replace myn, got play in it. Where's best to buy from and what brand do I go for. Thanks in advance

I see you now have to pay £300 deposit, I'm sure I only paid a £90 deposit for mine a few weeks ago!

Yeh I thought that was a bit steep, however if you get it back then it's not a problem. Are these a good rack do you know? I know there's some cheap/nasty ones out there!!

I don't know if this is a good one but I can tell you that Steve (@ Advanced Factors) would not stock it if it was, so pretty sure it is not going to be a cheap item. I had mine replaced by local independent under Warranty Direct cover, they insisted on supplying a recon rack and 13 months later it's gone again!
Being replaced tomorrow at main dealer still under warranty but genuine new part this time
So beware there are some rubbish reman parts out there

I think they are reconditioned but the new one has Land Rover stamped on it whereas the one currently fitted doesn't.........if that means anything!!!
In other words Jake, you want to go and nose around the new premises!!
I'll be getting my wheel alignment done there for that reason!!
