alternator keeps stopping charging

ill try and explain got a cig-plugin 12v meter run the engine and it shows 14.1v switch everything on and it drops to 13v rev the engine and it goes back up to 14.1v.

after about 30mins of driving the volts will drop like its not charging then all lights on dash special programs off and lower suspension indicators flashing.

stop the car read the codes and nearly all saying loss communication

clear the codes then drive for a while and it happens again been like this for a week.

brought a new alternator, new battery, brake switch and change the brake lights and still the same.

now when I switch on its going mad flashing not starting and when I connect the iid tool is says ready but wont do anything else so I can't read the codes.

tried a hard reset and charging the battery on a charger still can't read the codes .

anyone have any ideas what to try next?

cheers

Check charging circuit fuse and the battery ground cable, including at the chassis end.

Forget about the fault codes as the doctor is ill.

Remember to check that the outside air temp is valid.

Also check the PCM (behind battery, in a plastic box) for corrosion around the pins.

Thumbs Up

Also confirm the voltage reported from the PCM (IID live data) roughly matches your real-world voltage meter.

Reading up on this site about can bus issues if I bang on the top dash above instrument cluster it clear the faults bang again and flashing lights so I'm about to take the cluster out.

Is the anything I should look at for when removing it?
