Disco won't start !!!
Any ideas guys my disco unlocks but when I put the key in the ignition to start it all I get is the dash lights on and the central locking on and off. I'm thinking battery but not having a charger to hand I'll take it off shortly but any thoughts would be appreciated. ??
Oh forgot the hazard lights also flash whilst ignition turned.

Sounds like the battery, very similar symptoms to mine when it was low. Have you a meter you can check the voltage.

Thanks woody but it all seems bone dry and no corrosion. Sadly haven't got a meter but I've put the battery on charge for the night and I'll look in the morning. Strange it was running fine 2 hours before.

Oh well update on this after the Rac man spending almost an hour on this and countless phone calls success !!!
One for future reference the multi plug on the back of the aircon unit under the radio had come loose. Obviously not clipped in correctly years ago when assembled. Any way who would have thought the car must pick something up through the system to enable it to start. Thumbs up to the Rac and I certainly will be renew my membership next year.

Did you get any photo's? Im having an intermittant fault that does excactly what your symptoms was and thats one location I havent checked. Looks like pulling the radio is on the cards for a look. Did you have access to any of the fault codes?

No sorry he didn't give me the codes. Very easy to get to the plug unscrew the controller and on the back there are three plugs. The one in question is the larger one of the three.
Dosent seem to be my problem anyway. Connector plugged in properly and not amount of wiggling of the wires in the general area could get the fault to appear.

Daft question (and ever so slightly off topic) but is the HVAC unit VIN specific?
