Suspension Fault - Normal ride only - Where to start
After driving the car for approx 1-2 minutes the Amber warninglight comes on and the display shows Suspension Fault - Normal Ride Only.
If starting and standing still and lower the car to access level and back up to normal hight it raises quit fast. But from Normal up to offroad it takes a looooong time (1-2 min) before it gets in offroad level.
So do you have any ideas on where and how to start fault finding before buying and changing random parts.
This is the first issue i have had with the car and i've been very satisfied with it the 6 months i've owned it.
It is a 2005 D3 TDV6 HSE. Car KM216000, Engine KM116000

New engine at 100,000 km, that is only about 65,000 miles, what happened ?

I will get the codes read and see what is say.
Regarding the engine. That was before I owned the car so I do not know why.

Error Codes / Air suspension.
Down load a diagram of the layout of the air suspension so you know where the all the components are. Then go around it sprayinging soapy water at it and wiggle any joints or valves that you can touch. Yours will have an air leak, or two, or three. Like pushing string. Where ever possible I am replacing the cheap nasty manufacturers pipe and joints with better stuff ( Norgen pneumatic gear). As I repair one air leak , the next one appears and the light comes on again. At the moment the valve under the front right hand bumper is now leaking through the electric plug. It blows the plug off so I have cable tied it on. £122 for new valve. I'm determined to repair it but not having much success at moment.
Leaks on mine so far. .... Air tank connection. Front to Rear distribution valve connections. Nasty little olives. Overhualed the compressor with after market kit (XR4), .. Not impressed with the quality of original Land Rover components. Not impressed at all.

Thanks for the feedback. I found alot of Suspension fault with my IIDTool. So i startet with the easy suggestion using soapwater. Found a leak fast in the air tank due to rust. Could not find any more at this point.
So i will start with changing the air tank and take it from there.
Will it be a problem driving the car as the Air compressor will work alot more due to the leak?

it is safe to drive my 2005 LR3 with faulty suspension?car is lowered but i can drive more than 30mph..any help?

I'm not saying it is right or clever but I'm driving mine with the red light on. And I'm not keeping at 30 mph. I built up speed to get a feel for it and other than feeling like a boat it seems happy enough.
I have 625 miles to do Monday to get work done under warranty and I am not sitting at 30 for that.

Driving with air leaks.
It makes the compressor work harder and wears it prematurely. They are not the biggest of compressors, bit pathetic really considering the job. They have a built in temprature sensor in the cylinder head that stops the compressor from working when it gets hot ? It dont have to do much work 'to get hot'!
If they had built these things right in the first place, then a decent sized up to the job compressor would have been built in. Not the tin-pot Wang-Ping excuse of a thing that gets hot.
If at all possible, or when I find the answer. That crappy little Land Rover compressor will be getting filed under 'scrap' and decent bigger machine will be going on.
