IID BT New Vehicle
I have a IID BT for my D4 but am changing vehicles. Do I have to buy another licence at £60 for the new vehicle? I've looked for the answer in the Gap handbook but am at a loss. The reason I ask is I've already checked faults on the new vehicle and cleared most of them but there is no Configuration option in the menu which leads me to think that I have limited access until I buy a licence.

If you plan on using it on 1 vehicle only, its just a change at £25 I believe

No not at all, send Pat an email and he can transfer the license to your new car. As I understand it, there is a fee when you transfer ownership of the IIDTool to someone else. Not when you purchase a new car and no longer need the tool for the old car.
Pat did this recently for mine when selling my D4 and getting a D5.

Yes it does, but just basic functionality at this point in time. Programming the CCF is not (yet) available, but the usual fault code reading/clearing etc is all working.

Sounds like you bought another license, in which case you IIDTool will work both on your old and your new car.

That is typical of the customer service Pat and the team provide.
My D3 was written off whilst parked by a myopic old fart in November. Contacted GAP via web page. Pat came back straight away and just wanted the code from the new vehicle.
When I got a replacement sent code and got an automated reply from GAP to say they were away for the holiday period. 2Hrs later a new unlock code arrived in my inbox all at no charge.
The service Pat gives is second to none.
