GAP iid tool not functioning?

I've had the GAP iid tool for about a week and am not having much success.

I have only successfully connected a few times and even then its been buggy, hanging up, freezing, or crashing.

I generally get a red letters message of:

"tool does not respond"
or "no connection with hi speed CAN"

This is on both iPad and iPhone apps using the latest firmware.

I have emailed GAP Diagnostics thru the contact us link on their site but havent heard back. Customer Service has been highly praised on the forums so maybe my messages arent getting recieved.

Does anyone have a good email or phone number where I can get some help?

I'm sure the tool has hiccups at times but i swear mine is malfunctioning.

Thanks.

I have been able to connect and use the device successfully a couple of times but the majority of the time I cant get it to work. I have read and cleared faults and done a few other things without issue a few times. I only have the license for my 06 but I have connected it to my 08 LR3 successfully too, but again, only intermittent success (with connection, I understand its not fully capable without license)

It may be your OBD port needs cleaning or has got a bent pin, make sure the tool is pushed fully home in the socket.Thumbs Up
 It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.
