Got mine all done yesterday. All day job but I'm a novice 😉
Got a nice kit from ecp via a family member staff discount.
First time for me so anyone reading I was inspired by this thread.
Its not a difficult job in complexity, but it's awkward in some areas. One being fan removal if you make your own tools.
I've also got what was an unused 1&1/4 spanner that's been repurposed with an angle grinder to fit the larger fan nut lol.
I will also say after 2 manual rotations of the crank to check.. Getting the pins in can be super tight in one or the other.... I did manipulate the crank slightly to get both in.. Loose one becoming tight for other to go in..
Fired up nice once all back together and had the luxury of a sanity check for the whole process by my brother who helped.
Thanks to the posters in this thread.

Post deleted. Not impressed that question asked in 2 threads particularly as answer available in first post listed when searching for "crankshaft bolt".

I've seen a couple of people mention a £19 locking pin kit on eBay, can someone post a link please? I only seem to finding £40+ kits.

Don’t make the mistake I made of trying to tap the locking tool in
Sand it down until it slots in easily. I ground it down 3-4 times with a grinder disc as well as sanding it by hand.
Hopefully avoid you and others messing up there too Disco 3 SE Manual 2005 V6 2.7
