Can anyone recommend a land rover independent in south Devon please. Recent switch of vehicle and still under approved used warranty, but im not paying main dealer prices.  IID Tool

He operates from a small unit just NW of Okehampton, no website etc just phone him and he will give you directions. .

Its due its 72 month service and £650 is what the selling dealer wants to charge for that.
All my other land rovers have been old enough for me to use my local garage for all their work, but to keep up the warranty and service record i would like to use an independent but land rover specialist. Mike harding is close to me but i don't know anyone who uses him hence the advice being asked from the knowledgeable peeps here.  IID Tool

Having been down here for 25 years and whilst I have never used Mike Harding equally I have not heard any bad reports about the garage. When we first came down we had a Classis RR and we used Roger Young who were excellent. Matford Exeter were the pits - just awful. .

Andrew at Erme Valley Autos is my go to for independent work. I know a few other in the South Hams that use him. Always busy, well equipped & extremely knowledgeable on most things Landrover.
About 10 minutes from the A38 at Ivybridge, in Ermington
IIRC Roger Young no longer have any mechanics that were around during the heyday of the D3 & D4. The last one with any real experience of them left in December, so no one who knows of the all the little issues we know & love these temperamental beasts for. The technical director is great, but very much in demand so difficult to get to speak with him at times. Though I stand to be corrected.
