Coolant leak
Hi,
The D3 is loosing coolant when the engine is running. It is coming from the right hand side of the engine so I think it may be one of the egr coolant hoses. The problem is I can't see where the leak is or how to access the hoses. Just how do you get to that area? I see from the forum that people have changed those hoses but they don't say how. Help please!
TIA
Geoff.

Remove the plastic aux battery housing and tray, also the wheel arch heat shields to access the lower cooler pipe. Passenger side is a bit more tricky because of the AC pipes, but if you have a look at this video you for complete PS EGR removal you get the idea of what's involved!
Driver side is easier!
Edit: Sorry forgot the vid link

After removing the auxiliary battery box and heat shield I could see the hoses but still couldn't see the leak! Eventually I pushed back the fabric shield on the return hose and I could then feel a slit in the return hose.
I couldn't find a replacement hose on line so I managed to cut out the bit with the slit and then join up the hose with a piece of plastic pipe and jubilee clips.
Does any one know what that hose (EGR crossover to bottom of radiator is called or what it's part number is?
TIA
Geoff.

Not sure which pipe exactly you are looking for but have a look here.
