Identify Oil Pump Type with Borescope?

Hello all!

I have had my car since 2021 but have no idea whether the weak oil pump was ever changed in it's lifetime. I changed the timing belts as soon as I purchased but at that point I was unaware of the weak oil pump issue and it wasn't changed at the time.

I'd like to know whether I can identify the oil pump version on my car simply with a borescope and without having to take anything apart? I have searched this forum and watched a couple of LR TIME vids and these all lead me to think that the oil pump is hidden behind various plastic shrouds etc but it's not 100% clear.

All I want to do is identify the part number and clarify if I have the weak or revised oil pump and ideally I'd like to do this without any effort! Laughing

Dont even need a boroscope, remove the fan and use your phone to take a pic of the serial number.

Except the words “remove fan” sound easy, but this isn’t the case if it’s been on there 10 years and if you don’t have the fan tools
