Just my take on this:
I think it is more than solid advise to clear the fault and see if it returns. If it does, it could (and I asume: will) be indication one or more blocked valve blocks (pretty common, search for your DTC).
If that's the case it is frequently due to a degraded dryer-unit within the compressor. It blows silica (or whatever it is) particles through the airlines which get stuck in the valve blocks.
In other words: if you just reseal or replace the affected valve block(s) without fixing/changing the compressor first, you will run into the same problem again before long.
If need be you could start diagnosing the issue by lifting the car into offroad hight and pulling the fuse for the air suspension (F26, if memory serves). Leaving the car over night will show, which corner/axle sagged the most.
The good news: a new compressor is readily available as OEM or aftermarket. I went for the aftermarket compressor (do some research as some aftermarket compressors are..... well, not ideal qualitywise) and had little to no trouble installing and programming it despite not being a car mechanic.
Kits for rebuilding the valve blocks are also easily obtained as are new valve blocks. I do - fortunately - lack the experience of rebuilding the valve blocks.
IMO change the compressor first and let it blow air through the lines as some residual particles might still be lodged in the airlines.
I still hope, you do not need to consider this as I hope the fault will not return
Edit:
Just found this thread - it could also be any other air-leak. So, in case it returns, check which corner(s) drop(s) over night.

Had the same fault code on a customers 2005 D3 this week, tracked the leak down to the front left suspension strut leaking massively.
This has led to the compressor dying due to running constantly to compensate for the leaks. Both front struts and compressor to be replaced next week and all should be good
