Just setup my policy with Warranty Direct, not quite as cheap as some of you have got but I still think I got a good deal, details below......
05 TDV6 HSE with 33K (I do about 8K per year)
Luxury Cover with Landrover Franchised rates
Options include Sat Nav, entertainment unit, 4x4, Air Con, Emissions and Airbag
12 Interest free payments
Instant Wear and Tear cover, even though I don't currently have a warranty.

Bit worried about the "off road" clause so will speak to them about that too....nil admirari
I got their luxury policy set up to start when manufacturers expires in September, don't start paying for it until then and will be over 10 interest free payments. Includes £0 excess, no parts contribution, airbags & emissions covered, ICE & sat nav covered, franchised dealer rate & off road use covered for £535.
As it doesn't start till September I've got 8 months to cancel it in if something better comes along and if I do keep it there's no 90 day exclusion period as it'll start as the LR warranty ends
Pat, the off road exclusion is apparently do do with commercial use, they'll state on the cover letter that you're covered if you askThe End

Slimer - great forward thinking. My D3 will be 3 years old in September and this has kicked me into doing something similar to avoid the 90 day period of no cover. Nothing to lose as you say, payments don't start until the cover starts!
What are you doing for recovery - any thoughts. I tow a 7m tintent so will have to make sure that's covered.
Being a CSMA member I can get Britannia Rescue cover pretty cheap, though I haven't started checking prices yet. WD do recovery as well so it's probably worth finding out what they charge and work on negotiating a discount The End

Don't call them though, wait a couple of days and they'll call you with a better quote, tell them you'll think about it then they'll call you again a few days later and you can negotiate a bit more The End

Do you know which firm provides recovery /breakdown assistance for WD?
I managed to buy Land Rover Assistance last year without buying a Land Rover Extended warranty but the cover runs out at the beginning of March so I'm shopping around. The AA has offered a fairly hefty discount on advertised prices (as a former recipient of Land Rover Assistance) or I can cover myself with RAC using Tesco Vouchers to pay for it.Clubs Mantec, Tasmods, LEDS, AT2s on 18s, Maxxis Bighorns on 17s, Remote FBH, BAS. ReMap, BSS., RLD Personalised SWP., Safari Snorkel, Faultmate, Three Musketeers & MUD
Phil, when I spoke to WD about that, they didn't have a name of who covered, they just gave me a number. I presume they may just use local garages?
I have taken out additional breakdown cover with Brittania via CSMA The surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that none of it has tried to contact us yet.

Have you joined the CSMA 4x4 Section which has just recently been resurrected? There's an event in Bagshot on 28th March which I'm going to. It's at the MOD site where the Met Police Off Road Section had their event last year. It has an excellent Alpine route.Clubs Mantec, Tasmods, LEDS, AT2s on 18s, Maxxis Bighorns on 17s, Remote FBH, BAS. ReMap, BSS., RLD Personalised SWP., Safari Snorkel, Faultmate, Three Musketeers & MUD
