I'm a proud owner of a Disco 3! A week and only a couple of minor problems (only the soggy front carpets were a surprise! )
Bought it from a good friend who bought in new from Green Lane, Cheltenham (she's got a new Disco 4).
It's never towed, and never off-roaded.
BUT... The Rosen DVD roof-mounted DVD player is dead. No life at all from the screen.
It's an obsolete part so LR don't support exchange or repair.
I've got a quote for £149 to have it repaired by Rosen but before I commit I need to check the cars electrics.
From what the manual says about how it operates I assume it has 2 12Volt supplies in, one permanent and one that is present when ignition is at position II.
I'll download a Disco 3 wiring diagram, I thought.
2 hours spent searching (including forums) and no info at all!
Even Haynes don't seem to do a manual for the Disco 3.
Where on earth can I get a full wiring diagram?
Thanks comrades.

Welcome to the site
As it's an accessory, I don't think the Rosen screen appears on the vehicle wiring diagrams. As Biz says, your best bet is to have a look at the installation instructions for the screen and trace where the harness plugs in - after a quick look it appears to be a piggy back in the passengers' footwell green connector that you need to find.
What might help you from then is the pinout of the green connector if you can't fathom which wire is which in the Rosen's harness - let us know as someone may have it already. 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

Green connector (22 ways = pins) must be C1167 (female) or C1165 (male)

Thanks for the info guys, invaluable.
Connectors are secure, and permanent 12 volts present. Oddly, the switched feed measures 9.3 volts but I reckon this should be enough, but why it isn't 12 volts - only the Disco gods know.
As for DVD repair costs, as I mentioned, a car stereo dealer for Rosen quoted £149 to send off for repair. After some digging I found that Rosen's parent company is Cobra Security. They still manufacture Rosen equipment and have offered to repair my Land Rover spec'ed Rosen DVD player for £61. Hopefully a result.
P.S there's currently a Rosen G10 on eBay (finishing on Sunday) that has also been used in Discos and Range Rovers. May suit someone.

Was the 9.3V measured on the switched feed with the Rosen unit unplugged? 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

Mike,
You can contact Cobra on 01932 772400.
Heres their web address contact page:- Â Â
http://www.cobravehiclesecurity.co.uk/contact-cobra/phone.aspx
Unfortunately they couldn't fix my A9 unit, but I spoke to the service engineer at their workshop and he said they couldn't support getting a new LCD screen. There was no charge at all, even for return postage.
In the end I bought a new G10 unit from a LR dealer I found on the web, after contacting about 6 other dealers and breakers without luck. The G10 fits in the same surround, all the wiring is the same, but it's a 10 inch screen instead of 9 inch. I was charged £160, a good price I thought.
Cobra are very easy to deal with, happy to talk and are knowledgable about the Rosen products. I was surprised the local LR dealer hadn't even heard of them.
Best of luck, the DVD player is the best bit about the car (my boy tells me)
