Looks good. I built myself a sliding boot this weekend. I used Accuride 9308 slides but mounted them vertically. I had to raise them about an inch though so that it would fully slide out as I found the tailgate slopes upwards slightly. Cost me a lot more than 50 GBP! How far does your come out and does it rub on the tail gate?
What did you use for the actaully floor and what edging did you use?

I had the same problem with the tailgate not being fully horizontal when lowered, I had to make the runners lower at the front to compensate, it comes out as far as shown in photos and can be removed in a few seconds by pressing two clips on the runners.

Excellent, please post details of what, how & where from!A common mistake made when trying to come up with a totally foolproof design is to completely underestimate the innate ingenuity of fools.

Comes out very easily, press two small catches, one on each side and Bobs your uncle, also goes back very easy, just slid in and locks in position.
22mm socket with home made 1\4" concaved adapter glued onto winch nut and a 8mm hole drilled in tray directly above, 1\4 ratchet and long extention added to tool kit, hope it's never needed.

Sliding Tray construction and materials.
1 x sheet of MDF 1020x1055x9
4 x studs 80x8
2 x 700 drawer slides, full action which means they will extend to double there length, got mine of fleebay £15 del. rated at 75kilos, they are available at rates upto 180kilos, cost more and are higher section.
4mtrx 35x34 planed timber.
1.4mtr 70x50 planed timber
70x5 screws
35x3 screws
4 150x6 bolts, they must not be threaded full length, I used 6" nails drilled for a cotter pin as I hade difficulty locating bolts
8 caster wheels, I pinched mine off settee in spare room, HWMBO hasn't missed them yet.
Tin of matt back paint.
All above measurments are millimetres.
Start by removing load anchors in the boot, cut the 70x50 timber to length, shape to fit rear tailgate trim(see next photo), one for each side, drill 2 x11mm (this give room for adjustment) holes in the 70mm section to correspond with the anchor holes in the boot floor, countersink the holes to accomadate the anchors, screw into place using the 80x8 studs to replace the torx screws but do not tighten at thisw stage.
Screw the slides onto the timber 9mm from the top with 2 screws only and try them for position, when fully extended they should not touch the tailgate, the majority of tailgates do not lower fully horizontal, this means that the bottom of the side timber runner will have to be tapered at the front to allow for this.
Cut 2 lengths of 34x34x1020mm and screw onto the slides, these will be the tray side supports, test them for opperation and position, they want to be where you want the tray to be closed and open.
When open they want to be just clearing the tail gate and do not want to open wider than the tailgate.
