I fitted an entire LED light strip in the back, I connected it to the standard back light wiring. No problems.
It made a HUGE difference.2005 Discovery 3 V8 SE

You don't need resistors, they work fine without but the indicator flicker in the dash
Goes at double speed, although the actual indicator outside is at normal speed.
But after a while it gets right on your t ts.
So the moral of the story is fit resistors
This probably didn't help at all

You don't need them for the tail/brake lights, the indicators will work without them but the dash indicator will blink twice as fast as normal indicating that a bulb has fused, this is because the load of LEDs is very light, a resistor wired across the indicator feed wires to each indicator replicates the load of a conventional bulb. Very easy to fit and cost about £8 for the pair.It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Resistors are less than a tenner on eBay and half an hour each side to wire them in. Photos of wiring in my gallery 2016 RR Sport Autobiography
