I see that the subwoofer has 2 sets of wires going into it. Is this a dual core Sub, or why the 2 sets of wires? Is this one for the left channel and one for the right channel?
I'm looking to disconnect the standard sub, and wire in something a little more powerful, but need to know how to wire into another amp.
Any ideas?

This is a dual core sub yes.
To replace the sub with another one with external amp, you need to find the 2 channels that goes to the sub from the amp.
You then need to buy a 4 channel high level to low level adapter. So you take the 4 wiring to the sub and connect it to the adapters high lvl input.
then take the low level output (RCA)to an external amp. and connect the sub and feed some 12v to the amp + a remote and you are all set..
