diagnostics tools

Hi guys quick question, soon to be looking at buying a diagnostics tool, but have got access to a snap on solus will this be any good to me while waiting to decide which unit to buy, and does it do anything other than read codes maybe check fbh etc. many thanks in advance gone not forgotten 2 classics
