(HELP) Torque Convertor Fault Code

Had my fault codes cleared today, been having a transmission fault warning pop up, not getting any judder and when the fault kicks in I am usually just coasting along not under any heavy acceleration.
Anyway the code that was showing is
P074100 Torque Converter Clutch Solenoid Circuit Performance/Stuck Off

What is the likely problem here???

Done some reading up on this fault code and checked out when the transmission fault kicks in on the car, so looking for advice on how to try and resolve the problem.

It is telling me that the TCC is not locking when the ATF is up to temp, I have checked while driving the car and after running for a while and conditions are right for TCC lock to occur it doesn't, this is born out by the fact the engine revs drop back to almost idle if I take my foot off the accelerator.

I have read several threads but not sure what path to take to rectify the problem, it seems there could be several reasons why this is happening.
The most obvious being the TC is shot, or TCC solenoid defective / blocked, low ATF.

Any views on how to proceed appreciated. Confused

First thing I'd do is check the fluid level.

Easy enough to do - remove plastic box shield under the car and with the engine running and the gearbox oil temperature at about 40'C remove the side filler bolt- 8mm allen ISTR - oil should just be dribbling out.

If you need to top it up, then use LR special transmission oil or Lifeguard 6 - though I'm not 100% the latter is long life!

No not yet, I am going to have a service done soon, belt change etc, by a land rover mechanic I know and will get him to check the oil level first.
