i was working away from home when i asked the original question, however once i got home pulled the headlight and it was clear what i needed and what connection required, ordered on amazon
there are more expensive led bulbs out there but as i said fitted these and test drove on country roads, and the difference is amazingBig Ives

No idea what that means btw, but if these D1S bulbs fit and work, then I’ll certainly look at having these as opposed to paying £160 for the Nightbrakers....... always on the road less travelled 🚧

I have fitted these, they put BMW Bobby dazzler’s to shame.
D4 are definitely D3S, possibly a typo
No idea what that means btw, but if these D1S bulbs fit and work, then I’ll certainly look at having these as opposed to paying £160 for the Nightbrakers.
correct D4 is D3S, the amazon link I showed then allows you to pick D3S when ordering Big Ives
