Any ideas on how you can tell what type of headlights are fitted, please?
Mine is a 2015 65 plate HSE
There is normally a white sticker on the headlight that gives a part number and an abbreviated description of the headlight type / functions. You can see it on the top of the headlight once you open the bonnet
Thanks, I’ll have a look tomorrow.Just 'cause you got the power... that don't mean you got the right.

You have standard Xenon headlights. Not adaptive.

Adaptive headlights turn with the steering a certain amount so that they light up corners better. Only work when the car is moving up to a certain speed and not always noticeable.

Thanks.
So what are the best ‘legal’ bulbs you can fit? I don’t think my D4 headlights are as good as the Xenon’s in my old D3.Just 'cause you got the power... that don't mean you got the right.

Sorry for revisiting this subject but I am confused as to the information as I don’t want to shell out loads money on the wrong LED bulbs some of them are coming I at £160 plus
I contacted power bulbs by email giving details of my landy and they say to use these on my headlights which to be honest seem very cheap (don’t get me wrong as long as what I buy is the best and give good light not too worried about the price) I just don’t want to buy twice
Philips Ultinon Pro5000 LED H7 (Twin)
Philips Ultinon Pro6000 White LED W21/5W (Twin)
I have PMd ianjames and he informed he gets good light from the bulbs he shared in his post with a link which were bought from Amazon, I have these in my basket
Before I hit the buy button any more info on the best LED upgrade
as i am not near my landy at the moment until i get back next week from work, and as i have never had a look at the type of bulbs fitted its a mine field what to buy
Cheers IvanBig Ives

The best LED upgrade is not to upgrade.
The light pattern has been designed for halogen, and should be replaced like for like. Replacing halogens with LEDs won’t make it better…. Also, they’re not E approved so they’re probably not road legal in UK. Certainly not road legal in EU.
YMMV.

Osram Nightbreaker in mine (MY15), supplemented by a couple of Lazers. D4 lights are very poor compared to the D3Paul.

Rubbish, I guess you’ve not fitted any, no difference whatsoever with the beam pattern and three times the brightness of 10 year old xenon bulbs and 1/4 of the price
Although mine are NOT adaptive. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.
