Thanks promitheus.
Defiantely can see the shading differences better. In the video it is all less washed out.

Saw a GS and HSE outside Lloyds LR in Carlilse, GS in Bali blue. Hse Black. Not sure that I would choose Bali, but they both looked great in the metal and the new grille and headlights make the D3 look a bit dated.
The leather on the HSE was not totally black, but not far from it. The photo of the grey seats does not represent the colour at all.!!! infact it looks like New Leather goes well with the piano black inserts and the walnut grain inserts on door and dash.
New interior looks 8)
There is a 6 cd and Rear headphones.
Looks excellent...........

As mentioned in my earlier post in this thread, I think you will actually find that only a single-disc player is fitted, no a 6 disc changer like the one fitted to the D3.......but it certainly does have rear headphone connections.

I think it's a single slot 6 CD feeder, as found in other models like the Sport. Same functionality, different approach.1998 Defender 110 TUM HS FFR Hard Top XD WOLF

I don't believe thats correct - the manuals say its a single CD player NOT a 6 CD single slot - no mention of controls to be able to switch from CD1 to CD6 etcSteve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

On the Land Rover site, for the D4 it does only mention a "single slot CD player". (240Watt)
For the Sport it says " Six CDs can be stored and played" (550 Watt)
For the Range Rover it just says its a 710 Watt system, no mention of discs or the number of slots!
For the Freeloader2 it says "Optional Premium in-car entertainment system with 6-disc in-dash CD changer"
I would say that it is a 6 disc loader, and I'm pretty sure I was told that by the dealer when I drove one.
If it IS only a single slot single cd player, its just another reason not to want one.1998 Defender 110 TUM HS FFR Hard Top XD WOLF

CD's are old hat TBH iPod \ Mp3 players are the only way forward. It would make sense to reduce multichanger capability in that case. However, the high end audio system does have a 6 CD changer though
The handbook, if you would care to read it wrote:
CD selection
Touch the appropriate CD icon 1 to 6 to select the
disc. Once selected, play will commence

I wouldn't rely on the documentation or the website. The price list for both D4 and RRS specifically refers to a single CD player as standard equipment.
I am only going on what I was told and saw.....and as far as I know, the D4 (premium version) and RRS essentially still have the same ICE headunit, and the overall touchscreen interface is the same on the FFRR too - which does have a 6CD autochanger, though this is a discreet unit in its own right.
Further, the size of the actual headunit in the D4 and RRS is essentially a single DIN size box, not the bigger mother on the D3. I don't think you could physically fit all the gubbins inside it, as well as 6CDs and a changer unit.
I'd be happy to find the D4 still has a six cd facility, though I agree with DG that the portable audio interface is the way forward.

OK - D4 HSE does not have a 6 disc changer as others have attempted to convey repeatedly.
I've been in one and I've bought one and I can assure you it is 1 disc and 1 disc only ! As the others have said this is to no detriment whatsoever as the potential capacity of the USB and iPod docks (not to mention the touch screen track by track user friendliness etc) far outweighs that of a 6 disc changer even if all the discs were encoded in MP3 format.

They do need to update their documentation then obviously.
I have to say that the loss of 6 discs wouldn't worry me at all....I'm more surprised that there isn't an option for an integrated HDD for media purposes only 8)21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021
