Hi, I ordered a new BT module from Wiggs last summer - installed it July in our 2007 L322 - and as everyone else I immediate experienced the improved sound with the new BT module. And the improved display (signal strength & service provider) on the l322 nav unit screen - great!
However, I also experienced that my smartphone at that time; a Samsung Android; did have a problem with the pairing, resulting that I had to manually pair the Samsung phone with the BT module using 2121 40-50% of the time I drove the car.
I had a dialogue with Wiggs about this, but since I was to get a new iPhone 7+ last fall, we concluded that the problems most likely was related to the Samsung android phone.
In December I got my new iPhone 7+, but unfortunately the pairing problems have continued. It works now and then, I'm guessing 50% of the times the phone will automatically pair with the new BT module in the car, and the other times I have to manually pick "Land Rover" in the BT menu on my phone, and then enter 2121 once again.
Both with my Samsung and the iPhone 7+ I of course have tried multiple times to delete "Land Rover" from the BT connections, and then do new reconnections. I have disconnected the car battery, trying to "reset" the BT that way, but still the problem persist. I've also discussed with Wiggs if there are any SW updated on the BT module to fix this, but there aren't any such updates to this module.
I'm using the iPhone 7+ with other BT devices as well (Mini Cooper S Cab, loudspeakers, headphones) - all these works without having to do a reconnect/re-pairing.
Anyone else experiencing this? Is it "normal" that the BT pairing is lost 50% of the time with the new type BT module?

Is this thread still live?
Have r cent bought ‘09 D3 and need someone close to look at Bluetooth for me, if anyone can recommend a service for pairing iPhone. I’m in Huddersfield. Cheers
My reply is not going to help you, however I will make a few comments.
I have a 2005 LR3, now with the Wiggs 2121 fibre optic Bluetooth module install to replace the factory supplied 0000 analogue dealer installed unit back when the LR3 was new.
A couple of months back I purchased a new BlackBerry KeyOne to replace my previous BB 9900.
The good news is the Bluetooth on the new KeyOne pairs with no problems. There were also no problems re pairing with the BB 9900.
There is however a reception problem with the KeyOne relative to the 9900. I also note that other guys with both BlackBerry, Samsung, and Apple complain about either reception or calls dropping and blaming the Land Rover Bluetooth.
My view is that yes, the problem is Land Rover related but to my mind, not a fault of Land Rover. I think most LR products are too well built relative to other vehicles and the newer 4G and LTE signals are not strong enough to routinely get thru the body.
I say this as I resolved a call dropping concern by installing an interior signal booster with an external antenna. Now my 4G, LTE and LTE+ signals are more often 5 bars than 2 bars and I do not routinely drop calls any longer.
Note that lack of signal is not a Bluetooth problem, but some confuse it with that claiming the phone unpaired or would not pair rather than lost phone signal.
If I am correct, I rue the day we go to 5G - there likely will no longer be mobile phone service! One will have to stand under a tower to talk as these new formats appear to get weaker, not stronger, as the speeds increase.2005 LR3 HSE 4.4L AJ-V8 petrol; Traxide Dual Battery; PIAA 2500K Yellow Ion H11 Fog Light bulbs; CounterAct LT-2 Capacitive Corrosion control; LLumar AIR80 Blue clear Infra Red blocking side window film; Liftgate manual release; Schrader Valve "air in" mod to OEM air suspension reservoir tank; Akebono ceramic pads; OEM solid vented discs; LR4 design hitch receiver; Wiggs D4 MOST bluetooth module; Clock on the Dash; 3 Flash signal light mod; Backup Camera; 2015/16 Nav Data update.
