Can the fuel computer accuracy be adjusted?

You can do this adjustment with IID Tool??

Well I never, I had not noticed this IID Tool CCF parameter before - I must be going blind as it is in the instrument pack menu.

I've selected -3% as a starter for ten and will tweak from there. Mine typically displays over 37 mpg when when I am actually achieving around 32 mpg (ie 15% too optimistic).

The parameter is just for the trip computer fuel economy. There are other CCF parameters for the speedometer - as shown on the MSV screenshot on the first page of this thread.

It would be great if the speedometer could be adjusted on the IID like it can on the MSV as I would like it to only over-read enough to be legal, rather than the current level of error. Perhaps Gap could add it to the next beta.

No, just beta tester.

Was told before I got it that the fuel adjustment was coming (tossing up between Faultmate and IID Tool), so got it, only to discover it wasn't there. At least not until you have the beta firmware.

I'm a beta tester too and looking forward to a more comprehensive list of CCF parameters. At the moment still working on getting a proper range of live data for the later model D4s as currently it is rather limited.

Still, I really like where the IID Tool is going.

I am not sure if you are all aware of that, but the MPG test that manufacturer does are flawed by default.

1. They rarely use the same tires that they put on the car they sell and use different wheel alignment.
2. They do not follow their recommended tire pressure and tweak it to get the best of it
3. They Tape all part of the body work that could increase drag like the gap between the bonnet of the car and the body of the car.
4. Use High performance oil and lubricant instead of the one used for your car
5. Gearbox ratio are also tweaked...

The list of these tweaks is long.

Yep we are all aware that the circumstances for the test are not representative. Taping up shutlines is bad enough but they even disconnect the alternator!

But this thread is more about making the D4 display the painful truth rather than an artificial figure. The official mpg figures don't really enter into it.

So, now that we've established that we can tweak the fuel computer to read something closer to reality, is there anyone in the East Midlands (or elsewhere) that can do this mod on my car???
