The Euro III engine ones do not have a recall yet as the pipe needs to be different on them.
Interesting you should write this today...
Yesterday I phoned Land Rover España and asked them if my D3 was affected by the P017 revision. They said that it definitely wasn't.
This morning at 10am, the same chap phoned me back on my mobile and told me that they had received new information and that my D3 is now definitely affected. They will arrange to have the bits at my local dealer early next week.
The interesting thing is that my D3 was registered at the end of Sept 2006 so would one of the very last MY06s. Being a MY06 it should have the EURO III engine
Maybe LR have just today included the EURO III engine or could mine have possibly sneaked out as a EURO IV during the final MY06 builds?
Is there any way to confirm if it is a EURO III or IV?2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE AutoBuckingham Blue 2007 Golf GT DSG

I think the end of the MY06 run were Euro IV engines.“There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

Had my vac pipe and 'bits' changed on Friday, from what the technician said, it looks like the non return valve is a modified part, and yes, there is the possibility of having to do it all again if/when the recall comes...I haven't driven the car yet, but the wife reports the brakes feel 'different' Richard.
If it 'bongs' one more time, I'm gonna drive it off a cliff!

I have had my car in 3 times now; 1st had the servo & vacuum pump replaced; 2nd had the new enhanced vacuum pump and 3rd (now I recognise the signs ) just a flush of the brake fluid. Couple of days after the 3rd, either I am paranoid, or there is the feel that the brakes are fading again.
Can someone explain, in what I thought was a sealed system, oil can get in, and, if all the bits have been replaced already, what I need to instruct the dealer to do to fix them once and for all?
The answer may be stop being paranoid 11 HSE Santorini Black

There is no proper fix for Euro III engines yet, so the problem will keep recuring until there is a fix with the valve in it.
I am waiting on mine.
Brakes steadily need more pressure to apply. If you think they are dangerous get them to replace agian until the final fix is produced.“There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

Should that be Euro III?

That's my question, is this Euro IV only as haven't been following this much??? My 2 06MYs were made autumn 05 and seem to be well outside the VIN range but wondering just how far back this problem goes.

Problem goes way back. LR have been dragging their heels on this one.
There is a recall for the Euro IV along with one for the HP fuel pump.
There is no recall yet for the earlier build ones. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

vacuum pump
Hi All
Just bought a Disco 3 and looking forward to reading this forum.
Question, has anyone had problems with there brakes not working properly? i.e. pushing your foot down, it bottoms out but the vehicle keeps moving.
I believe there is a problem with the vacuum pump, there is a recall in some countries but not here in SA.
Took this up with land Rover in Bedfordview, they are aware of this problem, unfortunately my warranty is over but this is a safety issue and I think they should sort this out.
They filled in a job card and will then bring it up with Land Rover SA.
I am now waiting for an answer from Bedfordview.
Anyone having this problem? I have not read anything about this on this forum.
Tony

Take a look here
There is a recall if your Vin number is in range, it is possible that a further recall may take place to cover earlier vehicles in due course

If you read through that thread, you will see that a number of guys in SA have commented on their experieces of this, they have the SA flag in their profile
It's not a region specific issue so the mods usually don't like threads that affect everyone remaining in a region area I believe that every human has a finite number of heart-beats. I don't intend to waste any of mine running around doing exercises.
