Apologies I didn't specify that. I understand you still need to put it on a Land Rover/30 Pin cable - Like Del's 'curly cable' above. It just means you don't have to connect the phone to the cable, and unlike a cheap Bluetooth connection, you still get track skip, track titles, etc.
To be fair, I just use the cable (for Apple). Less faff and it also keeps your phone charged whilst you're streaming from it.
If only! That's the predicament - as soon as the new one comes out ill jump back to apple after lots of problems with android - so the problem will be solved. But in the meantime am I right saying ill need a curly cable into a usb, which then I plug the bovee into which I then link up my android?
Seems weird that you cant just plug a standard android / Samsung lead straight into the usb jack in the cubby box..

Is there an official name for the curly cable? I need to buy one - but whenever I google it all sorts of stuff comes up. It seems for some reason I seem to have taken my web image filter off

No curly ones, but mine isn't either (I think the original OEM one was curly) and works just fine. Don't think that the curls affect the music quality much.

I know but SWMBO didn't like the look of it, well it was on eBay. Combination of anything for an easy life and you can't take it with you.

To be clear, the curly cable DOES NOT plug in to the USB port. It plugs into a special port right beside it. You will need to check yours has that port.
The cable has a plug on one end for that special port, and an apple 30 pin on the other which will plug in to the Bovee.
You can get that cord on eBay - I got a straight version of it to reduce the weight of the cable, so I can velcro the cable and Bovee up inside the cubby lid.

Ah okay thanks - that's what I thought. I have a usb port in my cubby box, with another larger port right next to it - labelled ipod or something Apple based like that.
Just need a solution for a stupid android phone - it's looking more and more like use a 3.5 'll Jack!

While we're on the subject of cubby boxes (which coincidentally I have just fitted a fridge into mine - CHUFFED)! Does anyone elses just slam? Surely there should be some sort of spring or hinge or something? Mine just bangs down with no resistance - or is that just how it is?
Ta.

That's how mine is.
When opening, it will hold itself open with the lid at just past vertical, or with a small push, go completely over to 180 degrees. But when closing, it has no resistance.King of the typo.
