Therefore, I don’t think you have an amp ?

For the record, the lowline and midline head units both have green speaker-level outputs via the green wires. The lowline output goes directly to the speakers, whereas the midline output goes to the amp under driver's seat. Yes - this amp has speaker-level inputs.

The horrible colour scheme then continues - as the amp outputs are also green wires to the speakers! Smile

Cheers,
Rob

I’m learning this too.

The D3 and D4 systems are wired quite differently.

I wouldn’t rush and order any D3 parts.

As we told you before. Locate that blue wire in the large LR grey plug.
Trace where is goes with your adaptor lead.

It needs to connect to the blue/white android wire.
You may then have music!

Edit. I see your pic now.

And another import thing.
Note them red and yellow wires with connectors

The LR red wire needs to connect to both adaptor red and yellow wires to ensure the unit fully powers up.
In theory should be plug and play

Hi Pete

i noticed the Blue wire on the LR plug actually goes to an Empty slot on the adaptor plug

so if i temp run a wire to the Blue LR wire from the New stereo unit to see what happens

will that bypass the speakers then

Ideally you should use a paper clip (or tiny screw driver ) to remove the blue wire from the adaptor
And then stick it in the hole that will allow it to contact with the LR blue wire

To be fair that lead looks junk.
But it maybe the best available.

I think you u need to rework loads of wires.

The speaker wires grey white purple green
Should goto landrover green wires. That does not seam to be the case but I can’t tell from here.

And if that s not right. Could be more serious issues. You should check and write down every connection.
And note down the LR PIN number from the wiring diagram PDF

Or have I got that wrong ? Is that the android connector there ?
And those don’t connect ?
I think that’s probably the casev Embarassed

Here’s the pic of the connections

Top of the pic little black plug goes in to the new radio and bottom plugs in to the LR plug

Look at the blue wire it goes to nothing

Arh. Ok.
Just blue wire needs a fix then. As you say. Somehow extend and prove it works

The bare red usually goes to to the rear of the cigar lighter on D3
