Mines on the right as you look at the engine... assume your talking about if your sitting in the drivers seat
Matt74 - snap us a picture to be absolutely sure... there were mis-builds in the early MY05 days and yours could have not had one fitted. VA's RRS had a missing FBH until he pointed out it should be there and it was fitted for him. Was some time ago mind.
Worth double checking.

Simon , as you look at the engine on the right hand side in front of the black box is the unit which if i remember had two multi plugs going to it and could also see the exhaust for it too.

Havent owned it long enough to find out but when borrowed another D3 noticed it straight away , the smoke and the smell.
Got mine back from yet more warranty work and as it was 2 degs on the evening , i started it up and the fuel burner didnt kick in !
I think it tried because a bit of smoke came off the silencer but then it stopped and didnt get hot.
Took it up the road and when i came back , re checked the exhaust and it was cold.
Regards
Matt

Hmmm, but your front left wheel doesn't swap sides just because you looking at the engine bay from the front does it?
Either way I suspect our FBHs are in the right place. Cheers

It's a little silver oblong box (looking in the bonnet right hand side) that burns diesel from your tank to make heat so you are nice and warm. It only works when the outside temp is cold though. Yes it can work withou the engine, do a site search as you will need to make a modification.
