That makes it more gaulling. Joe Soap pay income tax and VAT buying Barlows CD's, concert tickets etc. then it's Barlow who trying to avoid paying any tax.
Barlow owns a property portfolio of £20million, has a house in West London, £18 million, Cotswold House £4 million, had income in 2013 of over £10 million and is apparently worth over £60 million.
Joe Soap has a mortagae normally worth more than his equity, has an average income of £26,500 and is worth zipo unless he dies and has some life insurance.
You tell me who can afford his tax? You tell me why we shouldn't be indignant?

I heard Joe Soap was doing some work 'for cash' and bought his Take That CDs from Jersey to avoid the VAT.
Maybe it was a different Joe Soap?Black 05 TDV6 HSE Auto

I thought Joe was buying his CDs in the pub from the local tradesmen specialising in Marlborough, Gucci and Rolex.

Come to revolution Bros. your places facing the firing squad are assured. I'll even let you stand next to Barlow. No class differentiation here.
Come the revolution I suspect I can muster more people with guns than you I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

So how much Stamp Duty did he pay when building up his property empire? Probably more than I or you will pay in our lifetimes, and I'm sure he'll also pay the tax he needs to pay on this occasion too.

I dare say Balow still pays more tax than the rest of us, even if it's just the VAT on his Rolex or his Rolls. Mind you life is full of assumptions, so who knows. I certainly pay more tax than these do Corporation Tax.

Cant disagree with any of that.
I'd love to know how to get an £8M tax rebate like RSA?

You paid more than the £380m corporation tax that Rolls Royce paid, or £94m that RSA paid, or...

A blast from the past but it looks like all this is still rumbling on, not sure if it is the same case, but very similar if it isn't. https://citywire.co.uk/new-model-adviser/n...ly_SummaryDS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone
