I am particularly interested in the outcome Del as I have sung their praises on this forum since Guy Salmon lost the plot.
As a matter of interest my mate has just discovered that after the service and ‘free’ MoT carried out by GS, he has actually been driving around without one and therefore technically uninsured for the last fortnight.
Took it back this morning, dumped it on the doorstep and told them to get on with it.

Right, update time!!! Car was ready just before lunch so picked it up a couple of hours earlier, and she is gleaming like a new pin inside and out. She does scrub up well, esp given the length of time since she was last washed.
Ignore my rant earlier on, “we” obviously got off on the wrong foot and all was fine in the end. They did pick up that I needed new pads and discs, I wanted to check as I thought they were OK but after I had a look, she’s heading back up the A3. I screwed the pooch, would have saved 16 miles on the car and would have gotten a better price had I said “oh go on then” when she was on the ramp. But I didn’t.
I just hope they don’t wash her again, I don’t want her worn away with too much cleaning malarkie.

Moore Automotive in Chersey seemed good when they did my 8 year service. I asked a few questions about cranks etc and they said they had a few with issues. So they know of the problems etc.
Going to take it back to them in July for the MOT. They don’t do them there, but get any issues sorted etc

Dropped the car off bit before 8am, got train home and had time to dump one load of mouldy grass cuttings at the tip before received a call saying new rear pads and discs all fitted and ready for collection. I knew I should have waited and gone looking for Wombles. Could have gotten SWMBO to do the tip trip.
Very good turn around, happy with the price and car is officlally RTR (Road Trip Ready). Hopefully she won’t need to go in again for her annual car wash this time next year but absolutely no reason not to use them again.
They are officially the best replacement for Guava of Old I’ve come across so far.

Pleased to hear that Del. Another reason I like to use them is that they are an authorised LR Service Centre. Online service history can be dealt with and billing is all Land Rover which is a big plus for extended warranty claims. They seem to have a good relationship with the assessor too.
They do my interim oil change while I wait and the banter can get pretty entertaining, the coffee and bix are good too.

I did mention on Tuesday that the car has WD cover for anything that comes up. None of the normal sucking air through teeth and muttering “LR warranty is much better, sir”, just got noted on the job sheet. That was a good sign.
Though what are these bix you talk of? Missed them.

Thanks for the feedback Del, their first test will be a dodgy height sensor that keeps throwing up the special programs not available message and yellow triangle. Scanned with my IID and it’s defo that so hopefully a LR Warranty job with no issues, I will get it booked in and report back 2003 BMW M5- 5 Litres of V8 Optimax Slurping Goodness in Carbon Black
