Gents, took my screen out to do the wire removal and have got a different plug? Not sure which wire to cut.
It's a 2009 58 Disco 3 HSE.
Thanks
Paul.

You have to get inside the display first !
Then locate the loom to front bezel

Giving a very belated update to my take on this.
Background is that when I did the RR mod on the sat nat screen, I disconnected the SECOND yellow wire instead of the middle one as previously suggested. For clarity, this is the second yellow wire from the end with yellow wire, not the red end.
I have found that the screen still seemed to stay bright enough to read most of the time, and responds to the dash brightness illumination dial. This is still the case with DRLs on, as they don't illuminate the dash lights - mine are set for Canadian DRLs.
I say most of the time as I live in South Australia, and during summer the sun gets so bright and hot dark rooms expose film, and we cook lunch on the street surface - if the bitumen hasn't already melted... ....on these days the screen is to dark to read, but so is the instrument cluster. I have made a shield that shades the screen and doubles as a mount for any other equipment I may want on the dash.
I haven't switched back from RR mode since day 1.

Hey guys, did the ChrisL76 modification and removed the second yellow wire. RR Mode works well for me too.
Installed my rear view camera and programmed my CCF to have it worked and all seems good. I have one question tho. How can I set the resolution the camera use when reverse engages ? Because when I go into reverse, the camera is zoomed in too much. When I use the secret screen 753 etc... and check my wide angles etc, I can see that the camera could have a better angle and be less zoomed in when in reverse.
Is there a way to programme which zoomed setting the camera must use when engaging reverse ?
Thank you very much for your enlightment guys and thank you for this whole topic, full of good stuff.

Sadly that is a limitation you have to live with.
Maybe adjust the camera so it is showing what it required.

it has something to do with the software of the sat-nav unit I guess.
Well just having a screen showing my rear view is a big step itself haha

well for night its fine but I must say I never use this screen when driving, I use my phone. I decided to do this mod only to get the camera displayed on the center screen. Also, never used the 4x4 info when offroad so I really don't mind the brightness as long as I can see my reverse camera.
I must say in full day light with sun reflexion you don't see much but it's ok, it works as intended.
My only regret is that my image is not centered on my screen, it is like it is zommed in for no reason because when I adjust it with the secret menu it displays fine.

what it is supposed to look like, using the secret screen to display it :
what it actually look like when I engage reverse :
In my opinion, this is the most disapointing thing in alllllll this process of running cables, editing CCF, updating the sat/nat and modifying it into RRS mode...
I think honnestly the best solution is to replace the rear view mirror with a mirror with integrated screen and run the cable in the roofing, that's what i'm gonna do I think.
I really think it is weird that we cannot edit the wideness the camera use when reverse is engaged.

I thought this limitation is stated elsewhere.
You could just adjust the camera left or right so that the lines are in the Center of the display.
For what little it costs and for a factory look I think it is good.

Hi niquelarondel, I am just curious why you choose to snip the wire for 4x4 screen, when you are able to program your CCF? Why not just do it this way, the proper way, and have all the correct features and settings? Cheers Tonga.2005 D3 2.7 TDV6 SE+
