For me the Dr Tranny was good for a couple of thousand miles. The juddering then returned. I then decided to go for a full gearbox flush and re-fil (including a glycol test), which again restored the gearbox to normal judder-free running. But again, after a couple of thousand the juddering started to return. My next plan was to have the gearbox re-furbed.. however before I got to that state the crankshaft in my D3 lunched itself, so it didn't happen!

Pardon hitting up an old thread but can you tell me how has this paned out in the long run?
Thanks
As Wilko described: Helps very well, but only temporary, few 1000 miles. On the other hand, it is cheap, so ... A decend flush helps little longer, lets say double, but costs more then double of the 2 tubes Dr Tranny. Anyway, at the end you will come to a gearbox refurb and a new TC, just had this done and hope this will last longer ... 2017-...: Disco II Td5 auto, 1999, BAS remap, HD TC and auto box Ashcroft, Allisport IC, ACE, 2" lift only coils, BF goodrich KM2 265/70R17, FF front and rear bumper, TF steering guard and tree sliders, nanocom.

I think an EXACT description of how to get at the top Oil Cooler hose maybe with pictures would be helpful for the non-mechanically minded....

Hi guys, thanks for the replies.
I called today a local Land Rover dealer here in US. I was quoted $5000+ for a TC swap.
They said the TC alone costs $2800.
What are you guys in Europe paying for such a repair? How much does a TC really cost?
Thanks.

Three years ago I paid £1000. I think that is the norm but have seen some say they paid £600. This is parts and labour2005, TDV6 S, Auto, 190k miles, owned from new, V8 Brake Upgrade, Nancom Evo, RLD protector, BAS EGR blanking & Remap, separate ATF cooler, changing all the fluids ahead of time.

Current costs at Bristol Transmissions is circa £1150 inc sump and filter mod (and tax). That's about $1500 all in

Hi here are some pictures for the non mechanically minded of us here.
Here you go, facing the car on the right side of the radiator you'll be see the line to detach.
The pics tell the rest of the story. I was able to get almost all of it there. I used a clear tube that was laying around and it only took 10 minutes.
Step 1, trim the tube.
Step 2, locate and undo the bolt, detach the tube. Put some paper towels down there to catch some of the oil dripping.
Step 3, feed the clear pipe to the tube you just removed from the radiator.
Step 4, feed the Dr Tranny to the transmission.
Step 5, put everything back together.
I hope this helps.
