2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 HSE Auto Java BlackDiscovery 3

I would of loved to tag along but on Thursday my Crankshaft decided to self destruct. Sad 25 miles after a cam change.

Garage had done the belt change. I’ve dropped a Email into Landrover but not holding out much hope.

Assuming you had the belts changed without the oil pump being changed too? Defender 110 2.4 TDCi Utility Station Wagon.

That’s correct. I did book it in for a new oil pump but once the garage opened the top end they could see the oil pump had already been replaced. Unfortunately I bought the vehicle with full service history but no mechanical history. There was a cam belt replacement sticker under the bonnet with no date. With only 128000 on the clock I thought it would be wise to get the cam belt changed just incase.

Ouch! But, at least, you weren't half way up a Welsh mountain at the time. You could always be a passenger?

Puff kindly showed me a couple of lanes local to here on Sunday. There were a couple of instances of 'gunfire graffiti'.

Spotted one sign with a single hit and then a triangular warning sign that had almost none of the paint left and was well and truly peppered by shotgun pellets and bullets. I tried looking on Google Streetview but couldn't see it. It may have been on the approach to Llidiad-Nenog itself. In any case, avoid dressing in grey with a silver hat having a red border...
