MrFluffy - Get yourself over the Wayfarer... it's only about 45mins drive away for us and you can make a full day of it with a couple of nice forest lanes on the way
Ah, I missed this!! Sounds like a good idea... I'll look it up.
Any recommendations of routes there too?
Yorkshire Dales this weekend so I may scope something out here tomorrow...

Just been reading AVO30's thread starter with interest as I'm off to Rhossili for four days soon and, while I appreciate you should really do these things in pairs of vehicles as a minimum, I wondered if anyone has done the first two lighter lanes (from the OS 165 map) recently?
Failing that, are there any others in the vicinity of Rhossili, Three Cliffs, Swansea, etc.?

Hey Alfamale,
the first trial is a really good gravel track, absolutely no problem fro a single vehicle. its like a forestry fire road standard, there is a very short section of farm type track which is used to get to the paddocks at the end of the trail but nothing to worry about, from what i recall i did it all in normal drive - no terrain response or anything, high ration normal height.
Im not sure about the second trail, Ive been away since March so not sure if it is open yet.
With regards to Gower area. Ive looked on the OS map and theres not too much unfortunately. Theres some good tidal roads if you fancy a splash but be aware these can get very deep and are naturally salt water so a good wash afterwards is needed. more here:http://www.wetroads.co.uk/swansea.htm
Pm me your email address and i can send u some pics of the trails to show you what they were like.

Just bumping this thread incase there are any fellow South Wales members lurking - I am going to get myself organised for some green lanes in the area once the lockdown ends.
