Someone has already done the hidden winch mounting. I think it's http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic4211.ht...inch+mount
Maybe if you find out the brand name you can try get one locally, or imprt one. If you do decide to import one, I am also interested

Ta for the price, the TC looks quite reasonable ....
RE : Winch
Skip to the last page as it would appear that Tbruk is no longer doing the mounting kit
Oops just read the new post ....

great, thanks. Let me know once you are ready to order. Maybe we can get a group buy together?
What winch are you planning to use, and will you fit it yourself?
Will you be connecting to the main battery or installing an aux?

Not done round 2 of the G4 event yet .....but we won round 1.
Battery ...... I opted to install an onboard compressor in the box with the ABS pump. Found out that the compressor hates engine heat.
Northern Off-Road made a bracket and fitted it between the original battery and power steering reservior ...only a 70A/H would fit but WTH, I can run my fridge for water again.
I'll get images up in a week or two .....waiting for a snorkel.

Frontrunner (or other) approved by LRSA ? |
|
Ordered TDV6 S today from Sandton LR and on inquiry on approved fitment centres for modifications they could not answer. I have been to Frontrunner recently to find out about auxiliaries - roof rack, fuel tank, dual batteries, etc. Owner (Rodney?) could not confirm whether these fitments are approved by LRSA. I have seen the rack, and tank, but not the dual battery system.
I was also told that they do a special tow bar which does not comprimise departure angle as the standard one. I intend taking my off-road trailer on most of my trips, so tow bar and dual batteries very important.
Anyone knows what the latest is on LRSA approved fitment centres ?
